Collin Burry

Design Principal, Gensler

Collin Burry, FIIDA, is a Design Principal in the London office of Gensler where he's been for six years after 25 years in San Francisco. He is a 2013 inductee into the Interior Design Hall of Fame. A "humanistic modernist," Collin describes himself as both a left and right brain designer who creates environments that reflect his clients' ethos, while striving for originality, authenticity and strategic, intuitive functionality. He is committed to the responsible shepherding of society, people and the planet.  His distinct point of view reflects a visual narrative influenced by his passion for contemporary art, music, photography, travel, and ballet. His expertise ranges from workplace to hospitality, product design, showrooms and F+B.  He led the design of San Francisco International Airports Terminal 2 which strived to bring joy and delight back to the travel post 9/11. He's designed for many of the world's most iconic brands, such as Netflix, LEGO, Ericsson, pladis, Barclays, Apple, Airbnb, Facebook, Pixar, Nike, Samsung, E. & J Gallo Winery, and Nokia.  Collin is a long-time advocate of design education championing the advancement of the Interior Design profession through legislative action and continuous learning. He dedicates time to the visual and performing arts, as well as organizations focused on eradicating HIV and homelessness. His creative and contemporary approach has earned him over 100 design awards and frequent coverage in international design and business media.

The World Architecture News Awards are judged by the most valuable critics - your peers. 

Our expert judging panels will consist of numerous industry professionals representing the full breadth of our Global industry. The judges are selected based on their expertise, experience and integrity and we pride ourselves on our rigorous and objective judging process.

Nominations to get involved are welcome from across the sector, either for yourself or a colleague using the link below. The final judging panel will be comprised of an inclusive range of individuals to fully represent the industry. Our aim is to give as many diverse voices (women, BAME, LGBTQ+, different ages / seniority, people with disabilities) a chance to determine the results of this industry-leading event.
