Fermín Vázquez has headed b720 Arquitectos ever since he founded the firm in 1997 jointly with Ana Bassat. He has been responsible for some of the most iconic architecture projects built in Spain in the last twenty years. His work has received numerous international awards and been featured in international publications and exhibitions at venues such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and MoMA in New York. He has been the go-to partner for some of the most prestigious international architects working on unique projects in Spain. Fermín Vázquez combines his architecture practice with teaching. He has been a faculty member of the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura in Barcelona, the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture et de Paysage in Bordeaux, and the Universidad Europea in Madrid, and has taught and lectured at universities and other academic institutions all over the world. He is currently teaching at the IE School of Architecture in Madrid. He publishes articles in international architecture magazines and journals on a regular basis.
