Changhak Choi is an architect and independent curator based in New York and Seoul. He is currently the partner at PRAXES PLLC in New York where he leads the design into new building typologies ranging from master planning, residential, institutional, governmental and cultural projects, from small-scale to large-scale development. He has over twenty years' professional experience and has been establishing a reputation for innovative design and professional distinction by synthesizing technical and imaginative aspects of design based on his interest on reciprocity in architecture. His design has been recognized with numerous design competition winning entries and design awards including Would Architecture News (WAN) Awards, Matthew W. Del Gaudio Memorial Award from the New York Society of Architects, and has been nominated as 100 Architects of the year 2019 in Korea by Union internationale des architects (UIA) and appointed Next Generation Design Leaders by the Ministry of Knowledge & Economy of Korea. His works has exhibited in New York, Seoul, Madrid and Barcelona, and published extensively in leading architecture journals and books worldwide.
