Xinyue Shen

Xinyue Hope Shen is an award-winning landscape architect, interdisciplinary designer, and educator, currently an Associate at SWA Group. A graduate of Cornell University and landscape architect, her practice spans landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, hospitality, ecological planning, and culturally responsive public environments. Working across North America, Asia, and the Middle East, Shen has contributed to civic landscapes, public parks, architecture, hospitality destinations, ecological infrastructure, and large-scale urban projects. Her work explores how design can mediate between environmental performance and human experience, with particular interests in climate resilience, cultural context, materiality, and the evolving relationship between landscape and architecture. Alongside professional practice, she has also participated in international design juries and cultural initiatives, and her work has been recognized by the National ASLA, IDA Design Awards, and MUSE Design Awards.
