Richard Lee

Richard is Director – Architecture at Lead8's Kuala Lumpur studio, with experience spanning the UK, Hong Kong and Malaysia. A UK-registered architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), he trained at Oxford Brookes University and began his career in Oxford, working on institutional developments and heritage regeneration. Richard has delivered retail-led, residential-led, masterplanning and mixed-use projects across Asia Pacific. Notable work includes RIMBA at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1, the Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) and SJ7 masterplans in Subang Jaya, Four Seasons Mall in Kuala Lumpur and Nanhai Plaza in China. He now heads Lead8's Kuala Lumpur studio, focusing on large-scale mixed-use, transit-oriented and retail developments across Malaysia. He is currently leading Lead8's first project in Africa, an integrated township masterplan in Zimbabwe.
