Ignacio Merino Rivero

Ignacio Merino, after obtaining an Honours Degree in his Final Degree Project in 2011, started the Flow 81 studio accompanied by his brother Gonzalo Merino and his wife Lourdes Arregui. After a rough start, we gradually improved and expanded the work in the studio, always defending the values in their architectural work in the first place against economic motives. Currently, the studio continues to improve its projects with the premise of promoting architectural values in relation to its surroundings: nature and the people who live there. Respecting the environment, integrating itself into its location in order to find unique spaces. These housing proposals by the Flow81 team are an example of the values we use in our residential architecture: to make architecture a link with its surroundings. Respecting the environment in which it is built allows the inhabitant a continuous relationship with the nature that surrounds him through his five senses.
