Senior Architecture and Urban Designer, Populous Design
Meenakshi Bhagat is a qualified and registered urban designer in India and UK and comes with an architectural background. She has gained her master's in urban design from Oxford Brookes university, England and brings around overall 18 years of experience on the table. Meenakshi is passionate about stadium design and master planning projects and has been contributing towards it for more than a decade by now in India and overseas. She has also worked as an independent design consultant to government organizations in India on numerous public realm and stadium design projects i.e. Commonwealth games 2010, Hockey World Cups and Lusophony games 2012 to name a few in India. Currently, She is based in India and associated with Populous Design for APAC region. Her work focusses on place making for large crowds with permanent or temporary facilities and passionate about finding solutions to operational challenges through her design outcomes. Recently she contributed through design in Motera Stadium in India, a world biggest cricket venue. She is a co-opted member of Urban Design Group London.
