Changhak Choi is an architect and independent curator based in New York and Seoul. He is a principal and leading designer at H Architecture in New York since 2013, where he leads the design into new building typologies ranging from master planning, residential, institutional, civic and cultural projects, from small-scale to large-scale development. He has been establishing a reputation for innovative design and professional distinction by synthesizing technical and imaginative aspects of design based on his interest on reciprocity in architecture. He has been recognized with numerous competition winning entries and design awards including WAN Awards 2019, Matthew W. Del Gaudio Memorial Award from the New York Society of Architects, and has been nominated as Next Generation Design Leaders by the Ministry of Knowledge & Economy of Korea. His works has exhibited in New York, Seoul, Madrid and Barcelona, and published extensively in leading architecture journals and books worldwide.
