WOOD IN ARCHITECTURE

The WAN Wood in Architecture Award 2018 celebrates the structural and aesthetic mastery behind the world’s most imaginative timber structures. Whether commercial, public or private, we’re searching for pioneering projects that take this highly distinctive material to new and exciting places.

The ongoing sustainability challenges currently facing architecture, ensure that wood, being one of the most versatile building materials available, remains a strong contender for a wide range of applications within today’s buildings. Renewable and durable with a highly distinctive appearance, this versatile substance continues to inspire new directions in timber design, particularly within the burgeoning prefabrication market.

A panel of experts will be judging the entries, each of whom has been handpicked for their extensive experience and unwavering commitment to progressing design excellence within this sector.
