The WAN Tall Buildings Award recognises and champions designs that push tall buildings into new and exciting directions. Appreciated for their sheer height or skyline silhouettes, we are looking for projects that redefine tall building design through the implementation of innovative technologies, plans, materials, and urban context.

This award offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain global recognition and exposure for your work, promoting the best in pioneering tall building design.

Please note: Buildings must have a minimum height of 100 meters and have been completed during the last five years: on or after 01 January 2013.

Judging Criteria

The judges will use their experience in the sector to assess your project on a number of factors to get to the short list including; Originality, Innovation, Form, Function, Sustainability and Context.

The shortlisted projects will then be tested to see whether your design has:

  • Addressed any key challenges within the client brief
  • Pushed the accepted boundaries for this building type

Presentation is also of great importance, and judges will be looking for your ability to communicate the 'story' of your building, from the initial concept through to its completion.

The competition is open to all projects built during the last five full calendar years, on or after 01 January 2013.
